Incoloy is a nickel ferrochrome alloy designed for oxidation and
carbonation at elevated temperatures.Incoloy alloy has many kinds:
common such as Incoloy800, Incoloy800H, Incoloy800HT, Incoloy825,
Incoloy840, Incoloy901, Incoloy925, Incoloy20, Incoloy330, Incoloy
25-6mo, etc.The alloy contains a small amount of the metallic
elements molybdenum and copper.In reductive acid and oxidizing
acid, it has good corrosion resistance, as well as good resistance
to stress corrosion cracking, pitting and crevice corrosion.It has
excellent corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid and phosphoric
acid.The alloy has good cold and hot working properties and is easy
to be formed and welded.The main products of this alloy are rods,
tubes, plates, strips, wires and forgings, etc. It is mainly used
in the chemical, petrochemical, nuclear and rare metal refining
industries.
Invar 36 alloy overview:Invar 36 alloy is a special low expansion iron-nickel alloy with an
ultra-low expansion coefficient. Among them, the control of carbon
and manganese components is very important. Cold deformation can
reduce the coefficient of thermal expansion, and heat treatment in
a specific temperature range can stabilize the coefficient of
thermal expansion. Invar 36 is corrosion resistant in dry air at
room temperature. Corrosion (rusting) may occur in other harsh

Invar 36 welding:
Invar 36 can be welded using all welding processes, including
tungsten electrode welding, metal arc welding, plasma welding,
argon arc welding, and manual arc welding. First consider pulsed
arc welding. Before welding, the material should be in an annealed
state, clean, free of oil, scratches, marking paint, etc. Low heat
input must be used and the interlayer temperature should be below
120 °C. No pre-weld and post-weld heat treatment is required.
Invar36 Recommended Soldering Materials If the weld bead
performance is designed to be the same as the parent metal, an
electrode of the same material as the parent metal is required.
Welding wire: ERNiCr-3, welding rod: EniCrFe-3.
Invar 36 has the following features:
(1) It has an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion
between -250 ° C and +200 ° C.
(2) Good plasticity and toughness.
