Incoloy is a nickel ferrochrome alloy designed for oxidation and carbonation at elevated temperatures.Incoloy alloy has many kinds: common such as Incoloy800, Incoloy800H, Incoloy800HT, Incoloy825, Incoloy840, Incoloy901, Incoloy925, Incoloy20, Incoloy330, Incoloy 25-6mo, etc.The alloy contains a small amount of the metallic elements molybdenum and copper. In reductive acid and oxidizing acid, it has good corrosion resistance, as well as good resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting and crevice corrosion. It has excellent corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid. The alloy has good cold and hot working properties and is easy to be formed and welded. The main products of this alloy are rods, tubes, plates, strips, wires and forgings, etc. It is mainly used in the chemical, petrochemical, nuclear and rare metal refining industries.
The Cr content in the Incoloy 20 nickel-based alloy is usually from
19.0 to 21.0%, and the nickel content is from 32.0 to 38.0%. It is
a nickel-based alloy containing molybdenum and copper with
excellent thermal and cold workability. Corrosion-resistant alloy
with many excellent properties, excellent resistance to oxidizing
and moderately reducing corrosion, excellent resistance to stress
corrosion cracking and good resistance to local corrosion.
Satisfactory corrosion resistance in many chemical process media
characteristic.

Incoloy 20 2.4660 Corrosion resistance: Good corrosion resistance in concentrated sulfuric acid below 50 degrees, more than 50 degrees above. Shanghai Jiayu is not recommended. It is not an ideal material in wet process phosphoric acid and HCl, resistant to intergranular corrosion and points. Poor eclipse.
Incoloy 20 2.4660 physical properties: density 8.1g / cm3, melting
point: 1350 ~ 1370 ° C, specific heat capacity: 500J / kg. K,
thermal conductivity: 13.5. W (m. K), elastic modulus: 200 MPa.
Incoloy 20 2.4660 Machining and welding: The thermoforming
temperature of the alloy is 970~1065 degrees. It is not suitable
for the forming operation under the sensitive temperature of 650
°C. The cold forming of this alloy is similar to chrome-nickel
stainless steel. The heat treatment is preferably stabilized at 940
degrees, and the intermediate annealing temperature is at a solid
solution softening annealing treatment higher than 1050 degrees,
and can be welded by a usual welding method.
Alloy 22 is nickel based and typically contains 22% chromium, 14% molybdenum and 3% tungsten. Iron is usually limited to less than 3%. The high chromium content of the alloy gives it a good wet corrosion resistance to oxidizing media such as nitric acid, iron and copper salts. The content of molybdenum and tungsten makes the alloy resistant to moisture reducing media such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid. Alloy 22 exhibits excellent seawater corrosion resistance under stagnant and flow conditions.
At high temperatures, the high chromium content of Inconel 22 contributes to its resistance to oxidation, carburization and vulcanization. Because of its nickel-based nature, Alloy 22 resists the high temperature attack of halides such as chlorides and fluorides. With these properties, the alloy is widely used to protect steel pipes and other components in coal-fired and waste-fired boilers.
Application areas:
It is widely used in the chemical processing industry, hot sea
water and hydrometallurgy. Mainly used for heat exchangers, pipes,
valves, pumps, etc. in the treatment of hot H2SO4,
chloride-containing solutions, Na2SO3 and other environments.
